Jay Z being a business  man once again and ripping off the little guy!

Jay Z already pulled ‘Reasonable Doubt’ off Spotify before he launched TIDAL – recently he has quietly pulled his 2001 Blueprint Albums off of ALL streaming services but his own, (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, GooglePlay)

However you can still listen to the majority of  Jay Z’s back-catalogue on those music services – he’s only pulled BluePrint.

Twitter Troll Squad

The internet wouldnt be the internet without Trolls! However, Trolls can step over the mark and  Twitter is a breeding ground for them and their going to be doing something about it, announcing the “Twitter Trust & Safety Council”

Twitters troll squad has 40 companies including safety advocates and academics will help to make people feel safe when chatting shit online.

How they will tackle trolls online isnt exactly clear but engaging in juvenile back and fourth with the trollee may infact make you the troller. So maybe do as mummy told you and (not punch them so they dont say it again) but go and tell the teacher! However they’re focusing on preventing abuse, harassment and bullying which tragically can lead to suicide. This echoes what Twitter did last year when they rolled out a bulk troll eliminating tool which allows you to share lists of users you have blocked with your fellow followers.

4K Blu Ray Gone!

Ever have something so good it got taken away before you could even have it? Well, it looks like this may be the case if things keep going the way they are! You boring lot you!

4K Blu Ray is the best visual/audio quality you can get for your home theatre. They look as good as they do in the cinema and they’re coming out in a few months but if the stats are to be accepted, it most likely will be ignored by you like that annoying ex thats really hot but also really crazy, so you got to stay strong!

Now to watch these 4K films you may need to put down a lot of money for a shiny new player, which in reality you wont need as you can already stream content in 4K!

Digital out sold physical-media purchases last year, clocking in at $8.9 billion compared with $8 billion and streaming subscriptions jumped 20 percent to reach $5.7 billion.

Its a lot easier to stream 4K for the regular Joe like you or I, than it is to buy new hardware, and for the industry folk, 4K Blu Ray is a lot harder to pass through all the legal hoops, for 4K Blu Ray to go ahead, you have to get all of the format partners to get on board and then convince the studios to get on board and then convince us to buy new players. When you can stream with no problem whatsoever & it is already available! So I don’t even know why we’re having this discussion!

One big problem with 4K streaming is that you need a solid internet connection (between 11Mbps and 15Mbps) to enjoy it today.

As history points out convenience always wins over quality when it comes to media formats. The unfortunate thing about 4K Blu-ray is that it lost the fight to streaming before it even arrived.

Spotify’s bored of just having you use your ears on their service, now they’re infiltrating your eyes too! A new video streaming service is said to be ‘starting this week’

The Wall Streey Journal says that video content will be available on Android apps “starting this week”, while those using iOS will have the service “by the end of next week”

Apparently dropping in the UK, US, Germany and Sweden, and the first wave of content will be provided by the likes of “ESPN, Comedy Central, the BBC, Vice Media and Maker Studios”.

Videos will be “contextually relevant” based on the kinds of music you listen to.

As well as short playlists of video content neatly packaged up to watch, types of videos will be more short form like “News of the Week” or “Laughs at Lunch”.

Disney Magic Kingdoms – Available NOW!

The newest way to keep your nieces’, nephews’ and offspring quiet, Disney Magic Kingdoms, from Gameloft is out NOW. The game, for smartphones and tablets, allows players to build their very own Disney Parks, excluding the painful waiting in queue’s all day.

Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android and Windows Phone. Players will live the thrill of their favorite Disney Park by embarking on a new adventure with Mickey Mouse and all his friends, as they endeavor on a mighty quest to restore the kingdom’s magic from evil powers.

Just don’t complain when you inevitably want a go and get caught playing the “kids toy” by the Mrs’ – “I was just helping” doesn’t count anymore.

“The Trace” App Review

Every fancied being a detective?

Yes there are loads of apps out there to play, but one thing I am really into at the moment is narrative.

So I love it when a game comes along that is packed full of exciting plot twists and turns and plops you right in the middle of it!

The Trace does just that… if you like a strong story and using your imagination then this is the game for you. The games description is pretty on point!

“Ever wanted to play at being Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple, solving puzzles, finding clues and leading the investigation into the crime that needs to be deciphered? The Trace is an immersive murder mystery puzzle adventure game that will pit your wits against a baffling crime that needs solving and a case that needs answers!”

I love it and it’s free.
