Hamilton is coming to Disney+ On Friday July 3rd 2020 everywhere! The filmed version of the Broadway classic is being streamed on Disney+ 15 months ahead of schedule, so don’t forget to check out this unmissable cinematic stage performance! So, to celebrate this momentous occasion Disney are giving viewers a special look at the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize Winning musical!
The filmed version of the original Broadway production is an amazing combination of live theatre, film and now streaming to bring the cultural phenomenon that is Hamilton to homes around the world! Hamilton is basically the story of America then, told by America now. While, the score is a fantastic blend of hip-hop, jazz and Broadway.
Hamilton takes the story of America’s founding father Alexander Hamilton and creates a musical that has since had a profound impact on culture, politics and education. Alson, what viewers will see was filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June 2016. Now you’ll get to see it shown in an incredibly unique and intimate way.

Filming was produced by RadicalMedia. The 11-time-Tony Award®-, GRAMMY Award®-, Olivier Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical stars: Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Jonathan Groff as King George; Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton; and Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton.
