Human – Pig Embryo’s!
Researchers have possibly found a way to cure disease, or even help us live forever! With the use of Human-Pig embryos!
No there isn’t gonna be some sort of human-pig baby running around. But according to a study published in the journal Cell researchers were able to successfully inject human step cells into a pig embryo and grow some tissue! This is potentially life saving as it has the possibility to grow human organs like the heart or liver – inside a pig. It’s still in it’s early stages but this science has the possibility to grow useable, transplantable human organs.
Very promising, but it is very controversial. There is a worry that one day stem cells could be created to grow an animal, or create an animal with a human brain. Despite the positive news the authors of the study state that the system is “Highly Inefficient” but regardless it still shows the promising outcomes of such research. Who knows what will happen in the future!
