You can now use an app as a form of contraceptive. Yes you heard that correctly. AN APP.

The app known as ‘Natural Cycles’ monitors fertility via algorithms. The German Department of Health has approved this and now it can be prescribed in Europe and the UK like the pill or condoms. It uses a method similar to the ‘Rhythm” telling women how fertile they are and therefore when they can have sex with little risk of getting pregnant.

It costs £6.99 a month and currently had 10,000 UK users.

During ovulation high progesterone levels increase a woman’s body temperature by half a degree and users measure their temperature daily using the included electronic thermometer. On the app days marked as green are when unprotected sex is ok and if it is marked as red couples must use a condom or other contraceptive. If you were wondering the app also doubles as a way to show the optimal time to have a child!

Experts have cautioned that the app is not for everyone and that care must be taken when using it “Any device that monitors the menstrual cycle is fallible as women don’t always ovulate predictably,” Dr. Adam Balen told The Telegraph.

This method could lead to an increase in pregnancies as the NHS have highlighted that methods such as this results in 7 in 100 instead of one in 100 for techniques such as the pill, implant or condom.

They’ve launched a site called PornHub Sexual Health Center is an online forum to help people with questions about anything from sexuality to sexual health and relationships!

The information on the site is sourced by experts which is directed by a clinical psychologist and sex Therapist Dr Laurie Betito. She explained that:

‘One thing I have realised is that no matter our background or desires, sexual education – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual – plays a vital role in our society….It has always been a dream to connect with, educate and inform people all over the world on a massive scale…….Heading the Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center is an opportunity to reach a global audience and provide a source for healthy sexual education and dialogue. He see’s all of the implants as self improvement rather than mutation.

 

“Someday I’d like to live in a world where everything you’re dealt is changeable, fluid,” Lee told me. “My conception of an ideal self is something like a Mr. Potato Head, where I can just swap in and out different prosthetics for different senses and abilities.”

Ultra Realistic Sex Robots?!

As tech evolves, ways for us to get off evolve too and that is exactly what is happening with sex robots. Now they’re so erm…good that they can potentially, apparently fall in love with you.

Launching in April this year, Matt McMullen, the boss of Cyborg brand Realbotix will release a fleet of sex dolls that will apparently be ‘mind blowing’ in bed….

The robots are said to have unpredictable yet charming tendencies that have great memories but also have a rather scary ‘surprise factor’ built in. On top of all that you can set your new sex robot lady friend to have 1 of 12 different personality traits be that sexual, kind, naive or intellectual. Strangely you can even set the strength of your sex toy on a scale of 1 to 3.

You can even set up an account an access an app which after a few months after purchase will sync with ‘her’ (I guess) and the ‘PULSE’ programme begins, promising to give a mind-blowing encounter and according to the Daily Star a yearly subscription to this app will be available from $20.

NASA Space Suit

There are brand new space suits for astronauts flying NASA Missions on Boeing’s Starliner! They are really fashionable and come with a decent set of integrated shoe’s (Which look like trainers too!) It’s lighter and a lot more comfortable spacesuits than previous suits! Plus they:

  • Are tailored for each astronaut.
  • Helmet and visor incorporated into the suit instead of detachable
  • Come equipped with gloves for modern touch screens.
  • Can be pressurised in an emergency.
  • Protect Astronauts better in an emergency.
  • Protect Astronauts in launch, in flight and on return!
