Cybershoes

Ever wanted to walk around in VR? But don’t have room for one of those massive virtual reality treadmills? Well, there may be a solution for those wanting to be move involved in virtual reality gaming. Cybershoes!

Cybershoes are just that, they can help you walk around in your favourite games and they strap on to your feet. Connect to a device that is connected to an Oculus Quest or other compatible headsets. (List below). Configure it and then away you go! You’ll be free to walk around in your favourite worlds!

The Cybershoes give a realistic representation of walking around in real life. As like in real life, you naturally bounce your head with each step. Giving you the feeling of immense immersion!

They work by attaching a small bluetooth device that attaches to the headset, which is then calibrated to the way that you are looking by a small white box. Which is at the front of the headset. You will need to tell it which way you are facing so the shoes know that forward means forward and so on and so forth.

You can use it in any room, but there is a special edition you can purchase. Which includes a swivel chair and a rug that protects your floor. This way, with the swivel chair, you can get a full 360 degree ability to walk around, wherever you are.

There are a range of games that are compatible with Cybershose, such as VR Chat, Fallout 4 VR and No Mans Sky. There is a complete list available here.

On their website they describe the Cyber shoes as:

The Cybershoes are compatible with many VR games and directly integrated into SteamVR. We provide ready-to-use templates for integration into Unity and Unreal Engine. Download your favorite VR game, turn your Cybershoes on and for the first time, you will finally feel like you’re exploring ancient dwarven ruins or fleeing from a horde of the undead.
