Husband Storage Pods

According to ‘The Paper’ a mall in Shanghai has set up storage pods to leave their husbands whilst they go shopping. But, it sounds like FUN! Inside each pod, there is a chair, a monitor, computer and a gamepad where guys can play retro 1990’s games. It’s currently free but it is said to be charging users via a QR code scanned on their phone in the coming months.

Mr Yang told ‘The Paper’ that it was a great idea and he enjoyed playing Tekken 3, whilst Mr Wu, while he thought they were a great idea, he wanted ventilation and air con as he complained that after 5 minutes he was drenched in sweat!

Meet the world’s most powerful computer

China houses the world’s most powerful computer

Two decades ago China did not have a single super-computer, now it is home to the world’s most powerful computer.

China only started production of its first computer chips in 2001 but it has developed att a rapid pace.

Now, the computer that can carry out 93 quadrillion calculations per second, has 41,000 chips and is twice as fast as the last super-computer (also Chinese) is called the Sunway TaihuLight.

Calculations that computers like this can carry out in record speed will help analyse complicated data such as variations in weather patterns over months and years and decades.
