We here at How To Kill An Hour are a hairy bunch and what comes with hair comes with responsibility (unless your like this guy from Rebellion games with a MAGNIFICENT Beard that puts us all to shame) but if you’re not him and have to shave your beard every now and then well you have come to the right place as we have featured many a shaver on How To Kill an Hour throughout the time we have been live!

We recently used the Philips Series 7000 electric shaver with vacuum and let us tell you, this shaver is AMAZING! As it cleans up most of the mess that us guys leave in the sink (and get consequently moaned at by the other half) via the integrated vacuum cleaner! Yes that’s right an intergrated vacuum cleaner! Are you part of a group chat? We’re assuming that the answer to that question is a yes. The group chat is the place where banter is thrown around and no one is safe, nights out are a nightmare to organise and, as with most group chats we’re sure, if left alone you return to hundreds of messages!

So to combat the constant bleeping and flashing of your phone, you mute the chat. Simple solution! Right?
Well WhatsApp have become that annoying little brother who just WON’T leave you alone. It’s introduced you an ‘@’ feature to highlight a specific message where a user wants to signal a user.

Of course our friends will just use this feature to annoy us and not how its meant to be!

Twitter’s New App!

Twitter are gearing up to steal Facebook’s live-video thunder and has launched a brand new app for your Apple Tv, Amazon Fire Tv and Xbox One! The app offers a lot of content for its users, of course live streaming content video from Periscope but also short clips from Vine. So you’re not far away from that latest meme!

This signals the move that Twitter is undergoing to get into the streaming atmosphere – it’s getting life underway in a big way with the streaming of the first of 10 big NFL games for all of our American listeners. Not only that but you can check out your timeline as you watch your live-streamed games!

News that is like music to Producer Bill’s ears – Twitter now allows for more characters for Tweets!! YAY!

Don’t fret they aren’t going to be doing the crazy 10,000 character limit that was thrown around at the start of the year. It’s just characters are going to be freed up! Now no longer will Photo’s, Videos, Gifs, Polls and Quote Tweets will count towards the magical 140 characters.

Ever been late to work and thought, if only I knew that there was traffic, BEFORE I left the house? Or I wish I knew that the road works where THERE before I left the house?! Well now you don’t have to worry anymore! (Well, if you have people that are using this app as well as you that is) Waze is a community based gps and traffic app that is based around people around you notifying others of real time traffic and road information, saving every one a whole heap of money, time and petrol!

By using this app you can get to your destination a lot lot quicker due to your friendly neighbourhood drivers letting you know to avoid certain areas because of traffic jams or road works. Not only that but as our roads are always changing there is also map editors who work improve, update and upgrade Waze’s maps. to reflect whats happening in your area to keep as relevant as possible.

If you wasn’t sold as of yet, Waze also offers real time updates on petrol prices so you’ll always be aware of the most cheapest car juice around.

Record Breaking Batman Cosplay!

Batman, Arkham version, Our favourite Comic Book Character has been brought to life in the form of a WORLD RECORD BREAKING COSPLAY SUIT.

Basically it is a bad ass Batman Suit, that blows all other Batman cosplay suits out of the water. Its so good it even could rival the movies. It has been entered into  Guinness World Record books for the most functional gadgets on a cosplay costume. It 23 working gadgets, including smoke spray, fire ball sprays, a bat signal torch, magnetic bat boomerangs, GPS! Bat claw – you name it he has it. Julian Checkley, sorry Batman is the don that made the suit that is based on the Arkham games. Julian is a Special Effects master by trade and spent 3 months making it. But I have done enough talking. Just watch the video above in awe.
