Uncorked Theatre: How To Solve a Problem Like Murder (NEW)

New Show. Same Rules.

The rumours are true. UnCorked Theatre is returning to Paradise with their intoxicatingly addictive production, ‘How To Solve A Problem Like Murder.’

London’s most compelling immersive theatre company throws you deep into the psyche of seven equally erratic personalities, as they immerse you into a voyeuristic tale of obsession, deceit, and vulnerability.

Sixteen months ago, a woman disappeared, ripping a hole through Paradise and leaving those left behind to pick up the pieces. A loving husband, a best friend, and a once thriving business, all unhinged.

Now, on the eve of Paradise Bar’s annual masquerade event, a new mystery is about to unfold, one that leaves you with not one, but two questions: who died, and who killed. Seven suspects. Seven sins. No one is innocent.

BallPit Fun!

An adult ball pit is open for a limited amount of time, so get there quick! It’s based in London and called BallieBallerson, it’s filled with 20,000 balls and the venue has two floors, one which offers alcoholic drinks and food, while downstairs is where the nostalgia happens!

There’s even an option for bottomless spaghetti and meatballs! You can even go one step further, for £35 you get bottomless spaghetti and an hour in the pool and if that wasn’t enticing enough you are also allowed unlimited prosecco! (Just don’t go throwing up in the pool, ok!)

If you just want to go in the pool a normal ticket is £5. Wednesdays and Thursdays it is open from 6pm until 12am and on the party days (Friday/Saturday) it is open from 6pm to 2am!

Body Worlds – Amsterdam

Nick Bright recently travelled to Amsterdam with his other half and discovered a really cool exibhition called Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: The Happiness Project. Basically it’s an exhibition which shows off Humans without our skin.

This particular event that is running right now in Amsterdam is called The Happiness Project and tells a story of our body and the impact in which the feeling of happiness has on our health.

These bodies that are on show aren’t plastic models either they are real anatomical specimens of real human bodies on show which highlights how complex our bodies really are.

The ground-breaking BODY WORLDS exhibitions – also known as Körperwelten – have already attracted over 40 million visitors world wide.

Please see below for more information on the Body Worlds Happiness Project (Video is in Dutch but you can put closed captions on, click the settings wheel and then auto translate it into English)

Mission Breakout!

This week we went embarked an historic escape room located in the disused tube station South Kentish Town courtesy of our friends over at MISSION: BREAKOUT LONDON. It’s incredibly immersive and requires a lot of team effort, a great mind and some logic to solve a series of puzzles and clues to manipulate the machines and break the code!

Like most of the escape rooms that we have gone on here at How To Kill An Hour, we had a team of 4 people (Minimum of 3/Maximum of 6) to complete the challenges, most importantly we elected a leader and then worked and communicated effectively to get out in time – maybe.

MISSION:BREAKOUT LONDON is open Monday to Sunday 9am – 11Pm and is open on Bank Holidays and School Holidays too! Prices start from £20 per player!

‘Tell No One’

logo

Following on from our (Marcus’) love of Zombies, we were invited down to Secret Cinema’s ‘Tell No One’ event and boy were we not disappointed. We cant say too much because ‘Tell no one’ duh! Also the guys want to keep the experience an experience and not have anyone expect any thing, because where’s the fun in that eh?

It’s a special kind of horror experience as you are actually IN the movie, its hard to explain and you really have to experience it to understand how immersive that this experience actually is. The ‘Tell No One’ event is based around Danny Boyle’s 2002 British cult classic, 28 Days Later. It runs for approximately 5 hours plus a screening of the film so expect to be there for the long haul – bring clothes you don’t mind messing up – no really we’re being serious. Price point is £64 so a night out really eh?
